New Delhi: Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Thursday paid a surprise visit to Safdarjung Hospital and cleaned the hospital surroundings as part of 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan'.
Nadda, accompanied by BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi, visited hospital wards, interacted with patients, and inspected the cleanliness maintained at the health facility. "The hospitals are centres where cleanliness is of prime importance and I myself keep inspecting hospitals to see that they remain clean.
"We all know that Swachh Bharat Abhiyan started by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has turned into a popular movement... We, the public representatives, are making an effort to accelerate the cleanliness drive," he said. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was launched nationwide on October 2 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
