All parents want their child to be the best in school and carve a niche regarding their career. While some children stand up to their parents’ expectation, others do not. What could be the causes behind their failure? Are there methods to concentrate and grasp things easily? Now there is, with a workshop, ‘Memory, Mind and Body’, to be conducted on June 10 by Dr Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury, author and Guinness world record holder in memory. Over 6,000 participants are expected to participate in the workshop. The aim of the event is to train students to recall quickly and avoid mistakes in their examination. It will also focus on mind-body medicine principle to gain extra energy and also guide them to overcome examination phobia. Speaking about the workshop, Dr Biswaroop said, “In a class, some students will have the potential to score high marks, while others, though have the potential, may not know the way to utilise it. This workshop is conducted to help them train their mind to grasp the teachings easily and also to enhance power of concentration.” This workshop not only includes lectures from different psychologists and achievers, but also the fun activity like games for physical and mental health. The workshop will also focus on children and include parents, teachers and principals, who are responsible for the overall development of a child. While speaking about the inexhaustible capacity of memory, Dr Biswaroop said that it is like a library. “Each and every information stored in mind is compartmentalised just as is stored in a library based on the context and subject,” he added. “Every child would have encountered a situation of going blank in examination hall. This means that memory is not totally lost, but can be recalled again. Exams are nothing but reproduction of what is learnt,” concluded Dr Biswaroop.
