Eight workers injured in explosion at mill

An explosion in the coal mixer of a rolling mill on Bulandshahr road here left eight workers injured, police said on Thursday.

The incident took place on Wednesday and a case was registered against the factory owner by a relative of one of the injured workers on Thursday.

The factory in the B-11 Industrial Area, owned by Kavi Nagar resident Sanjay Agarwal, police said.

The explosion took place while repair work was taking place at the coal mixer plant, they said.

The injured have been identified as Sahil (30), Chandradev Yadav (30), Ravindra (30), Ram Niwas (45), Jamaludin (50), Tilakram (28), Sunil (17) and Gurwinder Singh (35)
