PHULBANI: The Kandhamal SP handed over an ex gratia of Rs 8 lakh each to the families of the three slain cops on Friday night after the last rites. SP JN Pankaj said the families would also receive another Rs 10 lakh each towards the insurance coverage very soon. The other compensation package declared includes free education to the children of the cops, full salary that the cops were entitled to till their retirement age will be given to the families, four decimal land in any urban area or 10 decimal land in any rural area as per family’s wish, government job for one eligible person from the family as per the norms.All other service benefits which the cops were supposed to get during the service period will be extended to the families, the SP said.
