HYDERABAD: Revenue minister N Raghuveera Reddy has assured children of farmers who committed suicides, will be provided jobs under Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu. At a review meeting held on Monday, Raghuveera Reddy said the government will constitute state and district committees to supervise the implementation package announced to control farmer suicides.District collectors will head the committees and district SPs, joint director, Agriculture, DRDA project director and housing officials the members.The committee will meet every six months to review the situation.The Minister also directed officials to carry out a survey into suicides of the farmers with help of the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty. He also directed officials to study the status of farmers’ families after their suicides. Raghuveera asked officials to submit a report to district collectors within three days of report of farmers’ suicides. Special packages will be given to the kin of farmers who committed suicides.
