Former CDMO passes away

CUTTACK: Eminent physician and former Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) of Cuttack, Dr Prabhat Chandra Rout has passed away here recently. He was 91.A very popular doctor with the people, Dr Rout also served as CDMO in the districts of Sambalpur and Balangir. He is survived by his wife, seven sons and three daughters.Dr Rout completed his education from Cuttack and Kolkata before  joining  the Health Department. He was also involved in several philanthropic organizations and used to visit a charitable dispensary set up for the poor in spite of his old age.
