Give Ash sense: Pushkar priests pray
Shrine trust want star to say sorry for ‘drunk’ bodyguard, will do yajna to give her wisdom.

Ajmer: The priests of the Pushkar temple in Ajmer want actress Aishwarya Rai to apologise for her bodyguard who allegedly entered the shrine drunk and abused devotees on Thursday.

The trust will organise special prayers called shanti paath and sadbuddhi yajna on Saturday at the Pushkar lake so that Aishwarya gets the “wisdom” to offer an apology, said S N Garg, secretary of the Teerth Purohit Sangh Trust.

"Twenty-four hours have elapsed since the incident and she should immediately apologise or we will launch a protest," said Garg.

"The priests are furious and have lodged a protest against it with the trust," Garg was quoted by PTI as saying.

“As priests and devotees were angry, Aishwarya and her mother left the temple," said trust president Lado Ram Sharma.

Sharma said the trust convened an emergency meeting of 40 priests to discuss the incident. Ajmer's Superintendent of Police Sunil Mathur told PTI that police had no prior information about Aishwarya's visit to Pushkar and that no complaint has been filed against her three bodyguards.

Aishwarya and her mother visited the tomb of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinudeen Chisti too.

This is the second controversy for the former Miss World in recent months after she was questioned by Customs officials for a package containing 24,000 Euros addressed to her.
