New Delhi: Almost a year-old Nexus 7 tablet (16GB model) is now available on e-commerce store Flipkart.com for Rs 9999. While Google is still selling the same device on the Play Store for Rs 15,999, the device is available on Flipkart.com at approximately 40 per cent discount.
The Nexus 7 has a 7-inch Back-lit IPS HD display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels at 216 ppi. The screen is said to be covered with a scratch-resistant corning glass. The device has a 1.2 megapixel front camera. Weighing 340g, the tablet has 1GB RAM.
The Google Nexus 7 is powered by a 4325 mAH battery which is claimed to give up to 8 hours of active use. It runs Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by a Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor. Its connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and NFC (Android Beam).
Google, in July this year, introduced a slimmer version of its year-old tablet. The souped-up line of Nexus tablets boast a higher-definition 7-inch display screen and a processor that promises to be nearly as twice as fast.
