When TNA wrestler Mahabali Shera appeared on the sets of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 8' little did he know that the experience of meeting megastar Amitabh Bachchan would ask him about his projects. "The fact that he wanted to know about my forthcoming wrestling schedule and the day it would be aired on the small screen. This was undoubtedly the most memorable moment for me. Itni badi personality ne mujhe introduce kiya, wohi mere liye bahut tha," he recalls.
As Mahabali Shera tells us about his achievements, he also puts forth the difficulties he had to face to carve a space for himself in the domain of wrestling. "It hasn't been easy for me. I had to work extra hard to ensure I could turn my dreams into reality. Do saal prayaer ki hai bhagwan se yahan tak pahunchen ke liye. But yes, I have learnt the biggest lesson of my life - don't pay much attention to those who make negative comments. When I started out, there were enough people to demoralize me and make me feel that I was making the worst decision of my life. But look, here I am, enjoying every bit of my professional life. While my parents disapproved of my decision to take up wrestling, but I'll always be grateful to my brother to support me."
But once the money that he earned, courtesy his wrestling matches, he succeeded in managing his family's financial crisis, which further helped him win everyone's appreciation. "I'm happy that my struggle to achieve more has helped my family earn financial stability. I didn't get much help from Punjab Government. I'd like to appeal to them to ensure those who want to take up wrestling as profession are given the facilities to train themselves."
