KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Friday asked the Ernakulam District Collector to allow the Jewish couple who violated visa rule to leave the country voluntarily. Justice S Siri Jagan passed the order while considering a petition filed by Shneor Zalman Bernstein and his wife Yaffa Shendi Keing against the deportation order issued by the collector. The couple submitted that they were ready to leave the country on Thursday and requested no endorsement in their passports on their exit. They also asked the court to permit them to leave India as tourists leaving the country after a visit. The court held that there shall not be any endorsement in their passports in respect of the quit notices issued against them. The exit from the state shall be recorded as voluntary exit of tourists leaving the country.  If there is any difficulties in arranging air tickets, they shall be given one more day’s time, and in any event they should leave the country on or before March 13.
