A high alert has also been sounded in the Lakshar-Roorkee river belt and catchment areas.

Haridwar: A high alert has been sounded in low lying areas of Haridwar. This after the water level in the Ganga crossed the danger mark and is flowing above the 294 meters mark.

Low lying lower areas of many ghats along the river were submerged on Friday evening. A high alert has also been sounded in the Lakshar-Roorkee river belt and catchment areas.
