Fatehgarh Sahib: A copy of 'Guru Granth Sahib', the holy book of Sikhs, was on Sunday found burnt at a gurdwara in Salani near Amloh, police said.

The cause of burning of the religious book was, however, yet to be ascertained.

On being informed about the incident, senior police officials reached the gurdwara to take stock of the situation, police said.

When contacted, SGPC member Ravinder Singh Khalsa said there was a need for installing CCTV cameras in gurdwaras where sacred books are kept.

The burnt holy book was taken to Gobindwal Sahib for immersion.
