If we take statistics of accidents that occurred on the OMR and ECR stretches, we find that a number of youngsters had succumbed because of overspeeding and not following the rules. Hence, in order to create an awareness among youngsters, we organise a road safety programme each year. This is the third consecutive year we are conducting such a programme.”The human chain was organised in association with the Anand Institute of Higher Technology.
