New Delhi: The promos of the film might be the first interaction with the audiences but it is always the songs that catch with the fans the most. Even if the film works or fails at the box office, the songs stay with the fans for the longest time. And, 2013 came up with some of the most popular songs which are still a part of many people's playlist.

As expected, the best singer award went to Arijit Singh for 'Tum Hi Ho' (Aashiqui 2). The new talent mesmerised the Indian audience with his spell-bounding voice and the award was indeed well deserved. The other contenders battling it out for the best playback singer male were Ankit Tiwari for 'Sunn Raha Hai' (Aashiqui 2), Javed Ali for 'Tum Tak' (Raanjhanaa) and Honey Singh for 'Lungi Dance'.

While 63.89% audience voted for Arijit Singh, Ankit Tiwari got 12.61% vote for 'Aashiqui 2' and the other singers were nowhere close to Arijit.

The 26-year-old is blessed with a versatile voice and all his songs are so invoking leaves everyone tranquilized.
