Increase revenue collection

BANGALORE: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner M K Shankarlinge Gowda has instructed the officials to increase their target in collecting revenue. A statement from the BBMP said, for the year 2011-12, out of Palike’s target to collect Rs 105.6 crore under the Town Planning Department only Rs 60 crore has been collected so far. Commissioner has instructed the officials to collect the remaining money within three months. Also Palike aims to collect Rs 94 crore under Health department, of which only `6 crore is collected. The offficials have been told to meet the target in another three months, the statement said.
