The second edition of the International trade fair on Textile and Apparel Vastra will take place in Jaipur in October this year. Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Limited (RIICO) along with industry body FICCI is organising the event from October 3 to 6 with support of the Ministry of Textiles.
"Garment Exporters Association of Rajasthan (GEAR) has already joined as the support organisation and dialogues are on for garnering collaboration of various textiles and apparel trade associations in the event," a release said.
Efforts are also afoot for increasing participation of buyers and exhibitors as compared to the first fair which had participation of 178 exhibitors, 361 foreign buyers from 61 countries and 36 Indian buying houses. The first edition of the fair witnessed 4578 buyer - seller meets and generated business worth US 61.90 million. Vastra has carved a space in the calendar of international exhibitions on textiles ~~amp; apparel, the release said.
