ROURKELA: A dreaded interstate criminal Prakash Singh alias Bipin alias Bishal was on Friday arrested along with his accomplice Ganesh Singh (20). Bipin was involved in half a dozen murder cases.
Rourkela police nabbed the two from local railway station and a country made pistol besides two live ammunitions were recovered from their possession. Rourkela SP Himanshu Lal said the two were involved in the lootrelated murder of a trader Dilip Roul at Basanti Colony in May.

Police also confirmed their involvement in the loot at the Old Taxi Stand in June in which accountant of a jewellery outlet received a bullet injury as the miscreants mistook a laptop bag for cash.

Singh's crime tentacles spread across Gumla, Ranchi and Simdega districts of Jharkhand besides the entire Sundargarh district in Orissa.
