Prohibitory orders have been imposed to keep law and order in check.

Srinagar: The Jammu bandh launched by the All India Institute of Medical Science coordination committee has entered third day on Sunday.

On Saturday, the police was forced to resort to lathi charge as committee members and BJP workers clashed. Prohibitory orders have been imposed to keep law and order in check.

State Health Minister Chowdhary Lal Singh said, "This was going on but in between the strike started. We should get the same AIIMS in Jammu as of Kashmir. There should be same funds allotted to both the AIIMS. We will not encourage this agitation. We know our responsibility and will do our job. We request people not to get influenced."

Opposition parties have accused the BJP-PDP government of misleading people and have demanded an official order for an AIIMS to be set up in Jammu.
