'JTHJ' vs 'SOS': HC refuses to stay YRF's tie-up with theatres
Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' will be released in 1500 screens across the country.

New Delhi: In a major relief to Yash Raj Films, the Competition Appellate Tribunal on Thursday refused to stay its tie-up with single screen theaters across the country for the release of its film 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'. The order will be a setback for Ajay Devgn Films, producers of 'Son of Sardaar', which had approached the tribunal seeking a stay on the release of 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' in single screen theaters.

Both the films are being released on November 13. Yash Raj Films had tied up with all the single screen theaters for the release. As per the agreement, single screen cinemas can only screen 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'. Ajay Devgn Productions approached the tribunal calling it a monopolistic trade practice and sought a stay on such arrangement.

'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' will be released in 1500 screens across the country. According to reports, 'Son Of Sardaar' will get only 400 screens.
