New Delhi: Director Sonam Nair's 'Gippi' is about a teenage girl Gurpreet Kaur (Riya Vij) who is not comfortable in tackling the issues related to adolescence.
She is unable to cope up with peer pressure and the pressure to look slim and smart in worldly senses. Divya Dutta is playing her mother Pappi Jee in the film, and she treats Gippi like a friend. Taaha Shah and Jayati Modi are also playing pivotal roles in the film.
The Hindi film industry hasn't given many profound films which deal with the issues of teenagers in the past, so the audience would be hoping for a substantial film from Sonam Nair.
