KOCHI: The United Nurses’ Association (UNA), on Saturday, decided to intensify the agitation against the Lakeshore Hospital management for not fulfilling the demands put forward by the association.“We have decided to intensify the stir as the management has failed in meeting our demands,” UNA president Jasmine Shah said. He said that six nurses were dismissed from the hospital and the union’s demand was that they should be reinstated. Another demand is that the agreement signed in the presence of Labour Minister Shibu Baby John should be implemented, he said. A relay hunger strike would be launched from Monday, Jasmine said, and added that the UNA along with the Janakeeya Samara Sahaya Samiti was planning to hold a protest march to the hospital managing director’s residence.
