ALUVA: The victim of Kothamangalam sex scam has revealed to the police the names of those who had sexually harrased her.
The police said that though the girl's father Mohemmedali initially maintained that he began to force his daughter into prostitution only three months ago, on further questioning he confessed that he had been indulging in the crime for more than a year. The police added that the girl was often sexually harassed in vehicles like cars and autorickshaws and that at least 11 persons had harassed her.
The incident came to light after the authorities of the school where she studied informed the police about the incident. Mohemmedali had earlier taken his daughter to hospital for pregnancy test which proved positive. He had reportedly forced the hospital authorities to subject the girl to Medical Termination of Pregnancy.Meanwhile, the local people said the girl might have been presented to more than 100 persons during the last one year. The local people have also tipped the police about a similar incident in the locality in which the victim and her parents have reportedly been moved to Tamil Nadu by some people to suppress the incident. However, they refused to confirm or deny the story.
