KOCHI: CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday said he would continue as the party secretary till the party chooses otherwise.“It is for the party to decide whether I should be the secretary. I will hold the post of the secretary till the party wants me to be at the helm,” he said at Nedumbassery. He was responding to reports that the party may limit the number of terms in office for a party secretary to three. On the party’s protest on Monday against the HC verdict in the contempt of court case against M V Jayarajan, he said the protest was not to disrupt the functioning of the HC but to strengthen it.Stating that those who believed in democracy would participate in the mass protest, he said the demonstration had to be organised as the HC had taken a stand that was against democracy.
