Medal-less day for India in Senior Asian Wrestling
Indian grapplers failed to grab any medal on the third day of the Senior Asian Wrestling Championship in Astana.

New Delhi: Indian grapplers failed to grab any medal on the third day of the Senior Asian Wrestling Championship in Astana, Kazakhstan with Navjot Kaur and Sakshi Malik losing their respective bronze medal bouts on Friday.

Kaur lost to Bin Yang of China in the bronze medal bout of the women's 69kg freestyle. Earlier, the Indian had lost to eventual gold medal winner Sara Dosho of Japan in the semifinals.

Besides Kaur, Malik also featured in the bronze-medal bout in women's 60kg freestyle but she also was beaten by Tserenchimed Sukhee of Mongolia. Indians have so far won three medals in the championships.

Yesterday, India pocketed one silver and one bronze through Bajrang and Satywart Kadian in men's 61kg freestyle and men's 97kg freestyle respectively. Pooja Dhanda had bagged a bronze in women's 58kg freestyle on the opening day.
