Creating micro art is inherently challenging, and not everyone can undertake this task. However, Soma Mukherjee, a homemaker from the Cooch Behar district, has been making micro art for a long time. She has gained considerable popularity through her intricate micro art pieces. Recently, she has amazed everyone with a new micro art piece depicting a scene from the Mahabharata.

Microartist Soma Mukherjee mentioned that it took her over three months to create this small artwork. The piece was crafted on the lid of a water jar. The materials used include modelling clay, thread, lace, coloured paper, dye, beads, and glue. She has created a special depiction from the Mahabharata, where Lord Krishna is imparting the knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna. Arjuna is shown sitting on the ground, having laid aside his weapons, listening to Krishna’s wisdom. In the background, Arjuna’s chariot with horses is visible, which adds to the beauty of the piece. This particular occurrence is considered an important part of the Mahabharata and chronicles the events that unfold when Arjuna lays down his weapons and refuses to fight his cousins, the Kauravas. It is then that his charioteer Lord Krishna imparts his wisdom to Arjuna which makes him fight.

Soma Mukherjee further shared that managing all household and family responsibilities alone means she has limited time for her art. Despite this, her love for this craft drives her to find time amidst her numerous tasks. Her family supports her significantly, and they all greatly appreciate her art. This support keeps her motivated even after a long day. She has created many models so far. Through her consistent work over time, this artist has become popular among many people. She continues to create more models, with her recent Mahabharata model gaining considerable attention and admiration. Many people are visiting her home to see this model and are full of praise for her work.
