Miscreants make vain bid to loot bank

HYDERABAD: Unidentified persons made a vain bid to loot a bank at Moinabad on the outskirts of the city late on Thursday night.The miscreants deactivated the security alarm system before trying to gain access to the iron safe but could not open it. The incident took place in the Deccan Grameena Bank at Aziz Nagar in Moinabad. Moinabad police inspector G Sekhar Goud said the miscreants bent the iron grills of the rear window of the bank to enter the premises.  They later deactivated the security alarm system installed at the grilled door of the iron safe and broke open the lock. They, however, tried in vain to open the safe but failed and left the place.
