HYDERABAD: Member of the Legislative Council from Kadapa district Shaik Hussain and his driver were injured in a road accident at Shamshabad in the early hours of Tuesday. The Innova car in which the MLC was travelling hit a tractor due to poor visibility and turned turtle.
According to the police, the MLC, his driver Shaik Peera and his gunman and another person were travelling towards Kadapa when the vehicle rammed the tractor from behind near Madanapally in Shamshabad mandal. The front portion of the vehicle was damaged. The MLC suffered a fracture on his leg and was taken to a nearby private hospital and from there to a corporate hospital in the city for treatment.

A case was booked under Section 337 (causing injuries due to rash or negligent act) was registered against the driver.
