Mobile phones for 1.22 lakh RTC employees

HYDERABAD: For the first time in the country, the AP State Road Transport Corporation is providing cell phones to a staggering number of 1.22 lakh employees for their better communication with the management and to provide better services to passengers. The RTC will pay Rs 3.5 crore a year to the publicsector BSNL towards rental.With this, station staff will be better placed to get in touch with drivers and conductors to know the bus arrival timings so as to inform the passengers from time to time.
