Bhopal: A Madhya Pradesh minister's car allegedly ran over and killed an old woman here, police said on Friday.
The deceased, Sarita Vajpayee (60) was hit by Madhya Pradesh Minister of State for Labour, Revenue and Rehabilitation (Independent Charge) Karan Singh Verma's official car last night, they said.
Sarita was waiting for her daughter-in-law to start their two-wheeler in front of Ravindra Bhawan here when the minister's car, returning to Bhopal from Agra, hit her, they added.
She suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.
The Ambassador car has been seized, police said adding a case has been registered against car driver Sunil Pal for negligent driving and further investigations were on into the matter.
