Senior officers say that immediate action would be taken if any officer is found to be ignoring the complaints.
Mumbai: The Mumbai Police are on alert following the gangrape of a 23-year-old girl in Delhi and has placed complain boxes at several locations in the city. The complain boxes have been put up for victims of sexual harassment and other crimes against women.
Mumbai Police officials say the boxes have been placed at over 1000 different places in the Maharashtra capital. Police are giving special attention to colleges and the schools along with crowded neighbourhoods of Mumbai. Senior officers say that immediate action would be taken if any officer is found to be ignoring the complaints.
