KOCHI: They speak volumes about the life of street children. ‘Theruvora Kazhchakal’ a photo exhibition by Theruvora Pravarthaka Association secretary S Murugan has around hundred photographs of street children and their struggle with day-to-day life. The display at the Swasraya Bharat 2011 has been getting wide range of responses from various corners.The photographs depict the activities of the Theruvora Pravarthaka Association and its secretary S Murugan. The photo exhibition tells about Murugan’s attempts to rescue children from the streets and to provide helping hands to the poor. With the help of police, various other social activists and the authorities, Murugan has rescued hundreds of children from the beggary and child labour.The display has a collection of articles about the activities carried out by the Theruvora Pravarthaka Association along with the contribution of prominent personalities like ministers, social activities, writers and people from other walks of society. Pictures of minister M K Muneer, writers Sugatah Kumari and Sara Joseph and activist Daya Bhai are a part of the expo.Social Welfare Minister M K Muneer, who was present at the Swasraya Bharat on Saturday, visited Murugan’s photo exhibition also. “Murugan is the third eye of a society which has realised value of true life,” Muneer, moved by the pictures, wrote on the visitors book.
