Nalini suspended for misconduct

HYDERABAD: A day after D Nalini, deputy superintendent of police accused her superior officers of harassing her, an angry police top brass on Friday suspended her despite the fact that she had already resigned from the service on November 1 itself.Nalini, who was working in the Women Protection Cell in the CID and a pro-Telangana activist, is likely to join the women’s wing of the TRS and several top leaders of the party are backing her, sources said.In a statement, SA Huda, additional director general of police said that Nalini has been suspended from service for grave misconduct in the public until conclusion of the disciplinary proceedings.At a media conference on Thursday, Nalini said she had submitted her resignation letter to the director general of police V Dinesh Reddy while faxing it to chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
