Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will take the custody of Pakistani terrorist nabbed by the security forces in Naugam in Srinagar after a fierce gun battle on Tuesday.
Security forces on Tuesday foiled a major infiltration bid in Naugam, Jammu and Kashmir, as they neutralised 4 terrorists in an encounter and managed to apprehend one terrorist Bahadur Ali alias Saifullah from Lahore.
NIA teams have already left for Srinagar to take his custody for further investigation.
"It was a successful operation and one of the terrorists was apprehended after a gunbattle with security forces. One AK-47 rifle, 2 magazines, 23,000 in Indian currency and a wireless set were recovered from the terrorists," sources in the police department said.
Meanwhile, the combing operation is still underway as attempts are being made to smoke out any remaining terrorists in the area.
