BANGALORE: Notorious rowdy, Palani (33), has been booked under the Goonda Act, as per the directions of City Police commissioner, B G Jyothiprakash Mirji. Palani has been detained under the Karnataka Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Gamblers, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Slum Grabbers Act, 1985.
Palani allegedly started his criminal activities in 1998, as a 20yearold, forming a gang with local youth and indulging in heinous crimes in K G Halli police station limits. Hence, a rowdy sheet was against him in the K G Halli police station. In a notorious act, Palani had entered Hosmat Hospital along with his gang and brutally murdered his opponent Palani, a resident of Viveknagar. He was also involved in the murder case of a person named Faizal, that was reported in Mahalakshmi Layout police station limits. He had carried out the crime along with his associates, Kata Ravi alias Ravichandra, who was also arrested under the Goonda Act recently, Johnson and Susairaj.
