Now Pakistan Says Not Enough Evidence to Prove Kulbushan Jadhav a RAW Spy

New Delhi: Has Pakistan’s case on alleged Indian spy Kulbushan Jadhav fallen flat?

Yes, says none other than Sartaj Aziz, advisor to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Foreign Affairs.

“The dossier on Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav contained mere statements. It did not have any conclusive evidence," Aziz told a full Senate chamber of Pakistan Parliament, according to Geo TV.

“What the dossier contained was not enough. Now it is up to the concerned authorities how long they take to give us more matter on the agent," Aziz said.

Later on Wednesday, Pakistan claimed the statement “attributed" to Aziz was “absolutely incorrect".

Pakistan has claimed that Jadhav was arrested during a raid in Balochistan in March this year.

Islamabad first said he was an Indian Navy officer working for RAW, India’s external intelligence wing. He was accused of running a spy ring in Karachi and Balochistan since 2013.

Pakistan government even paraded him on national TV.

India has denied the existence of any such RAW agent. An Indian request to grant consular access to him was also dismissed by Pakistan.
