Odapada BDO shot at

DHENKANAL: The BDO-in-charge of Odapada, Ashok Mishra, was injured after two miscreants fired at him on Friday evening.Sources said some miscreants followed him on a motorcycle while he was returning home from the block office on a two-wheeler. They intercepted him at Jhargadia they and fired at him. While Mishra sustained bullet injury on the right leg, the head clerk, who was riding pillion, escaped unhurt.Mishra was rushed to district headquarters hospital and later referred to SCB Medial College and Hospital, Cuttack. DRDA Project Director Jagannath Mohanty and Additional District  Magistrate Babaji Charan Das rushed to the spot. Stating that investigation has been started to ascertain the motive behind the attack, SP Satish Gajbhiye also declared a reward for any information about the accused.
