THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The postings to the centralised valuation camp of the answer scripts of SSLC examination have gone hi-tech this time. For the first time, Pareekshabhavan has dispatched online posting orders to the examiners. Not just that, the 13,000 teachers, who are deputed to the valuation camp which begins on April 2, have been intimated about their postings via SMS facility too. Usually, thousands of letters are sent from the Pareekshabhavan office after scanning through the heaps of applications from teachers. However, not only the applications were called for online this time, but also every step of the process done at the click of a mouse. The contact numbers furnished in the applications made it easy for the Pareekshabhavan officials to employ the SMS facility too.“The posting orders were mailed to the respective schools very early this time. The IT coordinators in schools would help the examiners download the posting orders. The SMS facility was also found very useful by many examiners. It is precise with the place, time and date of their joining for the valuation camps,” said K Santoshkumar, system manager, Pareekshabhavan. The compilation of the Continuous Evaluation Scores of the SSLC examination from schools was also done online this time. For this, School IT Coordinators (SITC) were given training in February itself.According to Pareekshabhavan officials, there will be 54 centralised valuation camps arranged in four zones. In each zone, there will be two camps for English, Social Science and Mathematics papers and one each for the other main papers. For the minor languages, separate zone arrangements have been made. For Arabic, Sanskrit and Urdu papers, there will be two centralised valuation camps. The Pareekshabhavan had gone for online hall tickets two years back which had eased the process for students. And this time photo-attached online hall tickets were issued taking it a step further.
