People pay last respects to Vavachan

KOCHI: People from all walks of life paid their last respects to freedom fighter and CPM member P Vavachan on Wednesday.CPM Idukki district secretary M M Mani, who spoke during the commemoration meeting, which was held after the funeral in Thodupuzha, said, P Vavachan was active in his public life till his last breath.Thodupuzha municipal chairman T J Joseph said Vavachan was an epitome of sincerity and integrity.Thodupuzha CPM area secretary V V Mathai presided over the commemoration meeting. Joseph John, health standing committee chairman, Thodupuzha municipality, P P Joy, taluk committee secretary, Thodupuzha, R Ramesh, president, Merchant’s Association, also participated in the commemoration meeting.
