People will reject national parties: HDK

Former Chief Minister and JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy on Thursday said people of the state will reject Congress and BJP as they have failed to protect state’s interests.

“People of the state will reject the national parties as their contribution in protecting the state’s interests is a big zero. Only a regional party like JD(S) can protect Karnataka’s interests and people will support it,” he told reporters.

He expressed confidence that the JD(S) will get majority in the next Assembly elections and form the government.

“Caste and money will not play an important role in this elections, while we will also not make corruption an election issue,” he said.
