Once the project is ready, it will irrigate lakhs of acres and pave way for the development of the region, he said, adding that in all likelihood it will be completed in five years time. He said the state is indebted people who had sacrificed their land. “We have offered a good rehabilitation package for the displaced and it has been brought to my notice that Polavaram is facing drinking water problem. It is really sad to notice that the village close to Godavari river is facing such issues.
