PUDUCHERRY: An India Reserve Battalion (IRBn) police constable and his friend were killed on the spot when the motorcyle on which they were travelling was hit by a van near Killianur in Villupuram distrct of Tamil Nadu on Friday.The deceased were identified as Chinnaraj (29), IRBn officer, a resident of Brindavan in Puducherry and his friend Moorthy (27), a private company employee and a resident of Thiruchittrambalam cross road, Villupuram.According to police both Moorty and the IRBn officer were travelling to play a cricket match when their vehicle was hit by a van. Both died on the spot. The Van driver Seenu, belonging to Anna Nagar, in Chennai was arrested. Superintednent of Police, Villupuram, Baskar visited the spot. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
