BANGALORE: The Lokayukta Special Court has reserved orders on the bail petition of Vinod Goel, managing director of Jantakal Mining Company till September 30. Judge K N Sudheendra Rao on Monday conducted hearing on Goel’s bail application. His counsel Tommy Sebastian argued that Goel has not committed any mistakes, while stating that the complainant, Vinod Kumar, has lodged a case with baseless allegations. “Jantakal Mining Company was running mining business as per the orders of the Supreme Court. If the Commissioner of Mining Department Gangaram Baderia was given bribe through his son Gagan, then Gangaram needs to be considered as accused. The complaiants have ignored him completely,” he argued.Meanwhile, Goel was absent on Monday in court. Sebastian submitted that his client was suffering from neck and back pain as he slipped and fell in the bathroom.
