Pune: The city police on Thursday arrested three managers of the city's Pan Card Club in connection with an attack on four couples during New Year celebrations.
The club's managers Manish Gandhi, Manish Choube and Pratap Barde have been remanded to judicial custody for seven days.
A case has been filed against the club for keeping loudspeakers on beyond the 0030 hrs deadline and also for lack of security.
A group of five to six men were allegedly clicking pictures of a UK based NRI woman, her spouse and another couple.
When confronted, the group of men turned violent. Both couples were injured in the attack.
Joint Commissioner of Police Rajendra Sonwane was quoted by PTI as saying police filed a case against the club for lack of security as even non-members were allowed by the management leading to unruly scenes and violence.
