"Rekha can influence Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin can play cricket but they cannot garner votes for Congress," said Vijayvargiya. He even went on to compare them with a 'night lamp'.
He was reacting to Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam's announcement that Rekha and Sachin would be campaigning for Congress in MP ahead of assembly elections.
