Indian Wells: Sania Mirza and her Russian partner Elena Vesnina came from a set down to register a hard-fought victory over the Czech combo of Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka and enter into the final of the WTA Indian Wells Premier event on Friday.

The second seeds took an hour and 45 minutes to get the better of the third-seeded Czechs 5-7, 7-5, 10-3.

Though there was little to chose between the two teams, but Sania and Vesnina managed keep their nerves. They won 25 out of 42 points as compared to their Czech opponents, who could win only 32 out 56 points.

The Indo-Russian pair will now take on the winners of another semi-final match between top-seeded USA pair of Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond and unseeded Czech duo of Iveta Benesova and Barbora Zahlavova Strycova.
