BANGALORE: Induction ceremony for the students of IPUC of Al-Ameen PU College was held on August 11. Principal Prof BM Zakir welcomed the gathering. Rashmi V Mahesh, director, Pre-University Education, Bangalore was the chief guest who spoke on the importance of students’ two years of stay at the college. She stressed upon the short-term goal of a student to successfully complete his PUC studies and also the long-term goal about planning for his future. She also advised the students to be aware of their responsibilities and rights with regard to their academic performance. She congratulated the toppers of the year 2010-11.Dr Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, founder and chairman, Al-Ameen Educational Society, presided over the function. He in his presidential remarks congratulated the toppers, advised the students to be informative on the issues relating to academic importance. He also spoke about the importance given by the Al-Ameen Educational Society on women education. He quoted so many examples where in the alumni of Al-Ameen have downed cadres in KAS, IAS, medicine, engineering and a variety of managerial posts nationally and internationally.Subhan Shariff, joint secretary, Al-Ameen Educational Society, Saifulla, EC member, Al-Ameen Educational Society and Prof Y Azeez Ahmed, assistant secretary Al-Ameen Educational Society, were the guests of honour. Student Shabnum got a seat in Bangalore Medical College (BMC). Few more students got free seats at Al-Ameen Degree College also. These students spoke on this occasion in appreciation of the role of Al-Ameen PU College in their lives.There was also the inauguration of Eco Club and the release of bulletin by the chief guest of the function. The function concluded with the vote of thanks by vice principal Nawab Pasha.
