A straight-game victory in the quarter-finals over Tsz Ka Chan of Hong Kong on Friday saw PV Sindhu securing herself a place in the final four of the Macau Open.The top seed faced little trouble in dismissing Chan's challenge with a 21-17, 21-12 win in just 29 minutes.
Sindhu raced to a 4-0 lead in the opening game but saw Chan staging a comeback to lead by 17-15 at one stage. But the Indian upped her game from that point on to win six points on the trot to take a 1-0 lead.
There was no such drama in the second game, which saw Sindhu leading 11-7 at the lemon break. She then stretched her lead to 18-11 before wrapping the game and the match at 21-12.
Sindhu will next be up against qualifier from China, Qin Jinjing, in the semi-finals on Saturday.
