Shuttler Srikanth drops 10 places in rankings
Srikanth dropped a dramatic 10 places in the BWF men's singles rankings to be positioned at No. 23.

New Delhi: Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth dropped a dramatic 10 places in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) men's singles rankings released on Thursday to be positioned at No. 23 currently.

The 21-year-old Srikanth, who achieved a career high ranking of No.13 two weeks ago, suffered a first round exit in Tokyo at the $250,000 Japan Open Super Series Wednesday.

There was good news for Parupalli Kashyap, who rose a place to No. 20 in a list which is led by Malaysia's World No.1 Lee Chong Wei.

Both Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu retained their No. 8 and No. 10 spots in the women's singles rankings. China's reigning Olympic champion Li Xuerui tops the list.

No Indian figures in the top-25 of the men's, women's and mixed doubles rankings.
