A tragic incident occurred in Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi district on Wednesday when a woman died inside a bank while waiting to withdraw money for her medical treatment.
According to reports, the woman had visited the bank to withdraw money as she was unwell and needed funds for her treatment. However, when her fingerprint did not match the bank’s record, the staff refused to process the withdrawal. During this time, the sick woman collapsed and died inside the bank.
Following the incident, the woman’s family created a ruckus in the bank. Family members claimed that she went into shock due to the alleged misconduct of the bank staff, which led to her death. Police were called to the scene and, after completing formalities, sent the body for post-mortem examination.
Husband Blames Bank Manager
Bhaiya Lal, a resident of Ramuapur village in the Tadiyawan police station area, filed a complaint with the police. He stated that his wife, Ramshree, had suddenly fallen ill. Lacking money for treatment, he accompanied his wife to the bank to withdraw funds. He alleges that the bank manager refused their request to withdraw money and pushed him out of the bank. While they waited for hours to access the funds, Ramshree tragically passed away.
The police are investigating the matter and have taken the body for post-mortem following the completion of the panchnama.
