Gowda (29) was killed while patrolling the India-Pakistan border area in Firozpur on Monday night. The funeral was held with all military honours at his family owned land near to his house.When the body arrived at Mangalore airport, District Minister C T Ravi, Deputy Commissioner N S Channappa Gowda and others paid last respects by laying wreaths on the dead body. Gowda is the only son of Chanana Gowda, who has three children.Gowda had served 11 years in Indian Army’s 507 army service core. The 29-year-old youth is survived by his wife Latha.
